DESCRIPTION:Whistling Hens® founded by soprano Jennifer Piazza-Pick and cl
 arinetist Natalie Groom\, present a recital of music by women composers. T
 he program includes repertoire from the duo’s second album\, Big Crass M
 onster\, and works by Sonia Morales-Matos\, Melissa Dunphy\, Mojgan Misagh
 i\, Jennifer Stevenson\, and Victoria Bond. The feature work is a world pr
 emiere written by Morales-Matos\, for the festival. The recital is approxi
 mately 70 minutes with no intermission.\n\nWhistling Hens® was founded to
  perform and commission music by women composers to create a financially a
 nd artistically equitable future for women in music. Since its founding in
  2018\, Whistling Hens has premiered 29 pieces and commissioned 14 composi
 tions\, 10 transcriptions\, the Whistling Hens Women Composer Coloring Boo
 k\, and inspired 17 dedicated works.\n\nThe COFAC Latin American Arts Fest
 ival presents latin american composers\, music and artists through out the
  months of September and October. Featured guests include Cultura Plenera 
 Ensemble\, Sonia Ivette Morales-Matos\, and Whistling Hens. Events are sup
 ported in part by the COFAC Diversity & Inclusion Grant\, the New Music En
