The Old Maid and the Thief and Gallantry: Two Operas for Radio and TV

The Old Maid and the Thief and Gallantry: Two Operas for Radio and TV

Event Runs November 11 - 13 (Preview: November 10)

Music for the Stage presents two American one-act operas—Gallantry by Douglas Moore and The Old Maid and the Thief by Gian Carlo Menotti. Staged in the topsy-turvy world of radio and television studios, these two comic operas tell stories of mixed-up love affairs and mistaken identity. Faculty member Phillip Collister provides music and stage direction for this student ensemble.

Gallantry is produced by permission of Music Sales Group and G. Schirmer Inc. The Old Maid and the Thief is produced by permission of Alfred Music Publishers.
