Abstract: On Christmas Day, 2021, the James Webb Space Telescope launched into the morning sky, beginning a million mile journey to a point of space more than 4 times further than the Moon. Along the way, the spacecraft unfolded itself in the most complex deployment ever attempted in space. After reaching its distant vantage point, Webb’s mission was only just beginning.
Join us for a look at James Webb’s long, strange trip so far and relive the excitement of seeing its first, full-color images of the infrared Universe.
