Presenter: Dr. Alex Storrs, Towson University
Abstract: We take the planets closest to the Sun for granted, but they are widely varied and of great import to us in particular, as the only place where we can live in the entire universe is on one of these. We will review our new understanding of Mercury, Venus, the Earth, and Mars in the light of recent missions as well as long term monitoring.
We might even be able to observe the conjunction of Mercury and Mars in the evening sky, weather permitting.
