Want to learn a real world skill? Then you won't want to miss the Dive into Databases workshop hosted by the Towson University Software Engineering Club. This workshop will be split across two days.

The first day which will take place on April 27th from 5:30PM - 7:30PM will focus on designing a database from the ground up as well as important concepts and ideas that will be useful in a job or internship setting.

The second day will take place on April 29th from 5:30PM - 7:30PM and will focus on writing a Java application that will interact with our database setup from the previous day.

If you would like to follow along there are a couple of things you will need. This will work for MacOS, Windows, and Linux.

1) Java (Java 15 is recommended):  You can install java here https://java.com/en/download/
2) MySQL Community Server: You can download the installer here https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/
3) MySQL Workbench: You can download the installer here https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/workbench/
4) MySQL Java connector: Please download the platform independent version here https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/j/ (simply extract the resulting .zip file)
