Sexual Assault Awareness Month Keynote by Carrie Goldberg: Fighting for Victim's Rights, #MeToo, Harassment, Accountability, and the Weaponization of Tech

Start off Sexual Assault Awareness Month with a keynote from attorney and author of the forthcoming book Nobody’s Victim, Carrie Goldberg. Goldberg is a champion of cyber security, legal reform, and victims’ rights. She is an inspirational leader who turned her own story of online harassment into a tool of empowerment and education. She empowers clients who have been stalked, extorted, intimidated, blackmailed, humiliated and harassed through technology. Goldberg uses the law to affirm everyone’s right to privacy in a world where information (and humiliation) are just a few clicks away.

Sponsored by: Student Activities, Sexual Harassment & Assault Prevention Education (SHAPE) Committee, Department of Women’s & Gender Studies, Department of Psychology, Student Government Association, Student Health Services, Center for Student Diversity, Sexual Assault Peer Educators, Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminal Justice, School of Emerging Technologies, Alpha Sigma Phi, Zeta Beta Tau, Kappa Delta
