This is a tie-in workshop for preparing for the Seminar "The Unwanted One - A Conversation on Identity, Belonging, and Justice During the Cold War" with Ms. Teresa Buczacki.  How do we see the truth through the fog of political propaganda? Using Han Xiu’s landmark book Refraction and The Unwanted as lens, this workshop provides essential background on the Cultural Revolution and the "Down to the Countryside" movement. Discover how a woman’s refusal to be silenced provides a unique window into a turbulent era before her upcoming seminar in the coming weeks.
