  candidates who invoke the illusory nature of the senses to communicate th
 eir internal conflicts\, fascinations\, and anxieties. Across a wide range
  of media\, they translate between materials and transmute the phenomenolo
 gical into physical forms. These works question the notion of an objective
  truth by challenging our sensory perception.\n\n \n\nJoin us in grappling
  with reality during the opening of Phantasms on Thursday\, May 14\, from 
 5 - 9 p.m.\, located on the 5th floor of Maryland Art Place (218 West Sara
 toga St. in the BROMO Arts District). Phantasms will be on view through Ma
 y 30 during the Maryland Art Place gallery hours of 12 - 4 p.m.\, Tuesday
