About this Event
218 West Saratoga St.
Phantasms is a group exhibition featuring Towson University MFA candidates who invoke the illusory nature of the senses to communicate their internal conflicts, fascinations, and anxieties. Across a wide range of media, they translate between materials and transmute the phenomenological into physical forms. These works question the notion of an objective truth by challenging our sensory perception.
Join us in grappling with reality during the opening of Phantasms on Thursday, May 14, from 5 - 9 p.m., located on the 5th floor of Maryland Art Place (218 West Saratoga St. in the BROMO Arts District). Phantasms will be on view through May 30 during the Maryland Art Place gallery hours of 12 - 4 p.m., Tuesday - Saturday.
This exhibition is free and open to the public.
