Cook Library, Towson University, Towson, MD 21204, USA

Please join author and TU Assistant Professor, Dr. Kalima Young, as she discusses her first academic manuscript entitled Mediated Misogynoir: Erasing Black Women’s and Girls’ Innocence in the Public Imagination.  The manuscript interrogates contemporary media culture to illuminate the ways the intersections of anti-blackness and misogyny, i.e., misogynoir, converge to obscure public perceptions of Black women and girls as people with any claim to innocence.

Cook Library, RM507.  Book sale and signing to follow.

Come in person or join directly via Zoom.
