Deepa Kumar, associate professor at Rutgers University, will present a lecture, "Why Academic Freedom Matters: Neoliberalism, Imperialism, and the attack on Critical Thinking." She is the author of Islamophobia and the Politics of Empire and Outside the Box: Corporate Media, Globalization and the UPS Strike.
