DESCRIPTION:Burko’s practice is at the intersection of art\, science\, an
 d the environment. It is fueled by the urgency of climate change\, but end
 eavors to remind us of the magic of the natural world. Burko has shown her
  work in dozens of national and international exhibitions. She holds an MF
 A from the University of Pennsylvania and is Professor Emerita at Communit
 y College of Philadelphia. Burko's current five year NSF Grant is with ARI
 ON (Arctic Radium Isotope Observing Network) at Rowan University.\n\n \n\n
