On View through July 31

Representations of tranquil nature epitomize East Asian gardens. Yet, such enchanted spaces may obscure histories of empire, exploitation, and violent extraction. Deconstructing idealized East Asian gardens that depict harmonious natural worlds, this post-apocalyptic installation investigates the resonances of such practices in our current global environment with climate change and the Anthropocene epoch.
