On View June 25 - August 5
Louise Nevelson once noted, “artists are born collectors.” A person’s story is told through the objects they safeguard. The intentional act of sorting, categorizing, organizing, and curating changes our perception of the mundane, making meaning from the chaos of life. Collecting reaches beyond the object, to the gathering of histories, memories, experiences, and relationships. Through reclassification, we bring value to shared experiences and transform the ordinary into the extraordinary.
