  DeLappe is a coming of age story that tackles the pressures of growing up
  in Gen Z and celebrates the resiliency\, wisdom\, and humor of girls on t
 he cusp of adulthood.\n\nWays of Dying by Zakes Mda in an adaptation of th
 e novel for the stage by Lara Foot Newton. Directed by Mukwae Wabei Siyolw
 e in collaboration with Black Theatre Troupe.\nDecember 9 & 11\, 7:30 p.m.
 \nToloki is a “professional mourner” in a vast and violent city of the
  new South Africa. Day after day\, he attends funerals in the townships\, 
 dressed with dignity in a threadbare suit\, cape\, and battered top hat\, 
 to comfort the grieving families of the victims of the city’s crime\, ra
 cial hatred\, and crippling poverty. At a Christmas Day funeral for a youn
 g boy\, Toloki is reunited with Noria\, a woman from his village. “Toget
 her they help each other to heal the past\, and as their story interweaves
  with those of their acquaintances\, providing a brutal\, magical\, funny\
 , and painful picture of South Africa during its transition from Apartheid
 ”.\n\nBoth readings may contain material recommended for mature audience
