To be eligible for a Gilman Scholarship, an applicant must:

• Be a citizen of the United States
• Be an undergraduate student
• Receive the Federal Pell Grant
• Apply for a program of at least 3 consecutive weeks overseas in a country(ies) with an overall Travel Advisory Level 1 or 2
• Not have previously received and accepted the Gilman Scholarship
