TU professor and trumpeter Dave Ballou presents an evening of music with McNeill’s Allegories, an ensemble he has performed with for five years. Allegories was convened in 2018 by pianist and composer Michael McNeill and boasts Susan Alcorn on pedal steel and Shelly Purdy (also a TU faculty member) on vibraphone and percussion. This quartet brings together the players' diverse experiences and broad imaginations, and crosses many idiomatic boundaries with their improvisations and compositions.
