Broken Grids:  Laura Lloyd-Henry has been an artist all her life beginning with the first box of crayons and coloring books gifted to her as a young child. She received her first oil painting lessons at the age of 11 and continued these lessons through her teenage years. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree at Penn State University and a Master of Architecture degree at Virginia Tech. After a 10-year career in architecture, she followed her true calling to graphic design working as a freelance designer for over 20 years on both print and digital projects. She now considers herself an “emerging mixed media abstract artist” and has shown works at Baltimore County Councilman Tom Young’s Catonsville office and at the Baltimore County Public Library Arbutus branch.
