LEAD Strong is a 13.1 mile half marathon that Towson University Campus Recreation Services hosts every spring as part of its mission to promote healthy, active lifestyles through involvement in university programs and events.
LEAD Strong covers an out-and-back 6.55 mile stretch of the Torrey C. Brown Trail (formerly the NCR Trail).
Campus Rec encourages runners of all levels-from rookies to veterans-to participate in this amazing race. The flat, shaded trail and 250 runner capacity make this a very beginner-friendly race.
The race is limited to 250 participants so that runners have more individualized attention from race organizers and volunteers on race day and during training.
100% of race profits will benefit Maggie's Light Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children and young adults in Maryland with special needs.
This is a GREEN race, so only online registration is available. Online registration opens Friday, February 17 at 12:00 a.m.
