ON VIEW February 7—May 10. MFA student David Armacost presents a collection of paintings which fervently adhere to a singular image. Using repetition and a simplified approach to materials and application, Armacost lays bare a narrative of obsession, desire, and dedicated pursuit of the artist's personal mythology. A ritualized and performative practice yields an accumulation of illuminated objects infused with focused devotion and earnest appeal for clarity of vision.
